Good news for the students of Science that CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) declared the IIT-JEE (Main) exam date. Exam will going to be conducted on 8th April 2018. Students who are interested in the exam can now fill the  IIT JEE Main application form 2018 now as the form were accessible from 1st December 2017. JEE Main exam is one of the toughest exam for the engineering entrance exam in India which is conducted by CBSE. On the basis of JEE score candidates get admissions for the engineering courses in IITs, NITs and other institutions. Students those who have cleared the JEE Main exam will able to appear in the JEE advanced exam.

IIT-JEE Main 2018 notifications was announced on 20nd November 2017. Now the application forms are available so all the students are requested to fill the form now. We are given all the important information regarding the IIT JEE notification here.

IIT-JEE Main Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who are interested in the IIT JEE (Main) exam must check the eligibility criteria before going to fill the application form. To get the admission in the IITs or NITs JEE main marks are to be considered. Selected students in IIT-JEE must have 75% in their 12th board exam.  

(A) Age Limit:-

For general category:- Candidates must have been born after 1st October 1992.

For SC/ST candidates:- They must have born after 1st october 1987.

(B) Education Qualification:-

>> Candidates must have passed the 12th standard.

>> In the PCM subject they must have the minimum score of 50%.

>> Students must have 5 subjects in the 12th class.

>> Diploma holders (3 years) can also apply.

Steps To Fill IIT-JEE Main Application Form

Students who gets fit in the educational qualification needed to fill the JEE Main Online Application Form can apply before 1st January 2018. Follow the steps to apply for the application form:-
(1) First, students have to visit the official website of the IIT-JEE i.e, jeemain.nic.in.
(2) Here you will find the link of "Application form"
(3) Click on it.
(4) Now candidates you have to fill this form with your correct details.
(5) In the second page you have to upload your scanned photograph and signature.
(6) Now pay the online application amount according to your category.
(7) Review the details which you have entered in the form.
(8) Click on the submit option now.

IIT-JEE Main 2018 Exam Pattern

Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the IIT-JEE exam dates for both the online and offline mode. Students get your preparation done before the exams as on 8th April 2018 JEE Main offline mode exam will be conducted by the board at various centres across the country. Online mode exam is scheduled on 15th and 16th April 2018. There are two paper Paper 1 and Paper 2. Students those who are seeking to take admission in the B.E/B.Tech courses have to appear in the Paper 1 and those want to go in the B.Arch and B.Planning have to give JEE Main Paper 2 exam.

Mode of IIT-JEE Main Exam:-

As you all are familiar with both the modes. You can select the mode of examination according to your choice at the time of filling of application form.

>> For engineering entrance exam, choose Paper 1.

>> For Paper 1, Either select online mode or offline mode.

>> For architecture entrance exam, choose Paper 2.

>> For Paper 2, Either select online mode or offline mode.

>> Students can select both engineering and architecture exams, for that they have to select Paper 1 and Paper 2.

For IIT-JEE Main Paper 1:-

  • Duration of the JEE Main Exam is 3 hours or 180 minutes.

  • Paper consist of 90 Question for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, which means 30 question for each section with equal weightage.

  • JEE Main paper maximum marks are 360 which means each question consist of 4 marks.  

  • For every incorrect answer 1/4 marks will be deducted. There will be no negative marking for the question remain unattempted.

  • Each question has only one answer, if students marks more than one answer than it will counted as a wrong answer and marks will be deducted according to it.  

For IIT-JEE Main Paper 2:-

  • It consist of three parts - Part I, II and III.

  • Part I- This consist of 50 question of Aptitude test in which for every correct answer 4 marks will be awarded.

  • Part II- In this section 30 objective type questions of maths are there. Each question consist of 4 marks.

  • Part III- It has only 2 question with a weightage of 70 marks which candidates have to attempt on seperate drawing sheet.

IIT-JEE Main Admit Card 2018

Students will get their JEE Main Admit Card 2018 in the third week of March 2018 from the official website of the CBSE. For that interested ones have to submit the online application form form before 1st January 2018. Admit card of Joint Entrance Exam will be available for the students on the official website of JEE Main from where students will able to download their admit card by entering their name and registration number. Candidates have to download it through the online mode only. The offline exam is going to held on 8th April 2018 and on 15th and 16th exam is conducted in the online mode.   3. Submit the details you have entered by clicking on the submit button.

Importance of 12th Along With IIT JEE Main

Students who are preparing hard to get the admission in the IITs and NITs must have to study for the 12th class along with it. As suppose any student clear the required cut off but couldn't make it to score 75+ percentage in the 12th Board Exam Result 2018 than they will not get the admission neither in the IITs nor NITs.
